At the matchmaking dance near Fort Worth, she meets and dances with a few gentlemen but only one man sparks her interest.

Amos Kauffman attends the matchmaking dance as a host because it is being held at the church where he is the pastor. He has no intention of finding a bride, but one young lady sparks his interest.
