Old Rambling House

A dream house, a desperate trade, and a trap that spans galaxies. Ted and Martha Graham think they’ve found the perfect place to settle before their baby arrives—until their ultramodern new home shudders, the stars shift, and a cold emissary of the Rojac declares their fate. Conscripted into a ruthless system of interstellar tax collection, the couple must navigate cosmic bureaucracy, moral compromise, and the chilling price of a too-good-to-be-true bargain. As their living room becomes a cockpit and each jump carries them farther from Earth, the Grahams face an impossible choice that could determine the future of their child—and an unsuspecting planet.

Miguel Khuory delivers a taut, immersive performance that heightens the claustrophobic tension, eerie alien encounters, and razor-edged twists of Frank Herbert’s visionary short fiction. Old Rambling House is a compact jolt of classic science fiction—sharp, suspenseful, and haunting long after the final line. Perfect for listeners who love cerebral sci-fi, dark cosmic intrigue, and bite-size listens with big ideas.
