Only Jesus

Knowing Him Changes Everything

Everyone has an opinion about Jesus. Ask around and you might collect a hundred different answers, most of them stitched together from bits and pieces: a taskmaster keeping score, a genie who grants wishes, a good-luck charm for hard days. But that Jesus is nowhere in the Bible, and sooner or later a homemade Savior lets you down.

The real Jesus is far more wonderful. Of the more than one hundred billion people who have walked this earth, only one left heaven to become human, spoke with the authority of God, and held power over death and disease. His deeds were different, his words exceptional, his claims unlike anyone else's. Max wrote: "It's as if heaven asked, 'You want to know how God thinks? Who God loves? What God does? What God hates? The answer is Jesus. Look at him."

In Only Jesus, readers turn page after page toward that one-of-a-kind Jesus. Along the way, they will
meet the Jesus who conquered death and now reigns at the right hand of God,learn how to trade a going-through-the-motions faith for a daily walk with him, find fresh hope in the promise that Jesus has defeated death and will return for his own, anddiscover how deeply and completely they are already known and loved.
This is far more than a biography of Jesus. It is an invitation to know him and to discover that one glimpse of the real Jesus leaves us longing for a lifetime with him.
