In October 2011, Benedict Beaumont was a worn out, burned out, bored and frustrated Secondary School Teacher. Desperate for change, he flew to Delhi, bought a Royal Enfield Motorbike and drove it to the Himalayas.
Part 1 of A Last Chance PowerDrive is the start of his adventures in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It weaves the story of his journey with that of the people that he meets and the mythical narrative of the landscape. It is a life affirming story of travel, adventure, and eventually redemption as he takes his motorbike Carmen over some of the highest mountain passes in the world.
