Publisher Description

In Western culture, everyone has the popular picture of a family being that of a married couple with biological children. The idea of adoption places alternative forms of the family outside the norm. As a result, research indicates that there are disparaging views of adoptive families, along with doubts about the strength of their family bonds.
Indeed, I wouldn't say so much about my roots as a Native American before I was adopted by my immediate family, basically because I was a kid; and I wouldn't remember anything even if I wanted to.
It certainly isn't a story anymore that several kids who are adopted by foreign cultures, do not get to learn anything about their origins. I think every international or transcultural adopted child needs to be given back their roots. So they really can know how best to explain things to their children in the future. For me, all kids must have equal rights to know everything there is about their roots.
