Publisher Description
Marie Corelli (1 May 1855 – 21 Apr 1924) was a British writer. Until World War I her publications were extremely popular. Despite the fact, that her writings were regarded as the favorite of the multitude, Corelli’s works sold more copies that most of popular authors of that time call together, including Arthur Conan Doyle, Herbert Well and Rudyard Kipling. During the First World War, Corelli's reputation suffered when she was convicted of food hoarding. A recurring theme in Corelli's writings is the attempt to reconcile Christianity with mysticism.
Ardath, The Story of Dead Self is a mystic novel by Marie Corelli. The plot revolves around a romance of main protagonist. There is one strangeness about this romance, however – our hero’s fiancé is an angel from heaven. But, to prove himself worthy of her love, the hero travel back 7000 years in time. How will this bizarre adventure end? Read and find out!
