Body in the Boathouse

Brown's boathouse had weathered many storms and had dealt with time, trespass, rot and ruin. So, what was a skeleton doing pinned in the mud under the rotting floorboards when the most photographed landmark was demolished? And, more to the point, who was the body?

Boddington Bay's super sleuths Amanda Augustine, and her friend, former policeman Larry Brownlow are suddenly drawn into a twenty-year-old cold case when the Boston police put in a call for help. The victim was 'the man you love to hate' in Boddington Bay, and there are more than a few suspects with good motives for murder.  But Angela and Larry discover that over time memories fade, suspects forget, alibis are re-shaped, and Father Time, and Mother Nature have become involved. By listening, looking, watching and asking a boatload of questions, Angela and Larry come up with a result after an unplanned midnight outing puts their lives on the line.

Angela also has a secret from her past that has to stay under wraps, or her idyllic life as the owner of the village bakery and high-end kitchen shop may go up in flames. Her cousin Lisa, foisted upon her in the terms of a will, knows just a bit too much, and likes to stir the pot. One day will she spill the beans?
