“I do care about you, sweetheart. Maybe not in the conventional term, but I never stopped caring about you. It’s becoming tiresome and fucking irritating.”: Chapter 12

Aiden King, the hero of the book and my ultimate book hero bias, is the heir to the King Empire and a hot-blooded, football-loving and psychotic 18-year-old. He is such a complex character that I just cannot get enough of. Is he bad? Is he good? Is he nasty or is he sweet? Is he indifferent or is he possessive?? His many sides draw me to his character, wanting to peel off the layers of his facade and to understand him deeper.

Elsa Quinn is as, if not more than, mysterious as Aiden due to her partial lost of memory. She can be a sassy girl, standing up for herself and her friend, Kim, but also an insecure girl due to the fact of her memory lost. She hates herself for having an attraction to Aiden as much as she hates the guy himself, but she doesn’t know why (and so do we but i think more will be revealed in subsequent books).

As the story unfolds, more and more of her past is slowly revealed and it intrigues me to read on and find out the bottom of the truth.

.

For those who love suspense, intense and steamy high school-bully novels, this is definitely a must-read! ❤
