John and Shannon ultimately agreed that John would have custody of Joshua and Carli, while Shannon's sister would have custody
of John Jr. However, the parties failed to resolve issues of child support, division of assets and liabilities, and reorientation
alimony. Following a trial on these issues, the superior court divided the marital assets equally, but assigned all of the
marital debt to John. The court also awarded five years of reorientation alimony to Shannon and denied John's request for
attorney's fees.
