Publisher Description

A jury convicted appellant Apparajan Ganesan on two counts of solicitation to commit murder. See Tex. Penal Code Ann. §§ 15.03, 19.02 (West 1994). The jury found that appellant solicited Reda Sue Prier to kill Sudha Vallabhaneni, appellants wife, and Amy Wright, the lawyer representing Vallabhaneni in her divorce action. The jury assessed punishment for each count at imprisonment for ten years, to be served concurrently. We will affirm the conviction on one count, but reverse and render an acquittal on the other.
