About the author
Jay Kristoff is the New York Times and internationally bestselling author of The Lotus War, The Illuminae Files, and The Nevernight Chronicle. Nevernight starts with a warning. The book, our narrator tells us, will show no restraint and our heroine is “a girl who was to murder as maestros are to music”. Living up to its promise, this gory and fantastical epic stars Mia, a teenage trainee assassin who’s out for revenge against the dastardly empire that took away her parents. Jay Kristoff takes clear pleasure in describing Itreya's evocative universe: there are breathless battles against extraordinary beasts, feline sidekicks and steamy romance.
