Samuel Johnson A/K/A Samuel Bice Johnson v. State of Mississippi

On December 31, 1981, around two oclock in the afternoon Mississippi Highway Safety Patrolman Billy M. Langham, while acting in line of duty, was murdered on U.S. Highway 49 in Covington County, at the city limits of Collins. He was stabbed with a butcher knife in the back between his shoulder blades, and shot at close range with his own revolver.
