Despite a slow-moving plot, the mix of supernatural creatures makes for interesting world-building, politics, and relationships. Romance readers who enjoy alpha male characters will no doubt like the sexy, smoldering Tiago, but those in search of a more balanced, less possessive relationship may want to look elsewhere.
