Where Is My Home‪?‬

Walter Whitman said, “Home is where the heart is.” There is a longing in each of us to be home—a place that is familiar with unconditional love. Children may stray, but within them is a desire for the love, care, and safety of home. They want to be home. Sometimes there are difficulties along the way—bad choices or circumstances that hinder their return home—but like the prodigal son, they finally realize that there’s no place like home.

“Where Is My Home?” is based on a true story about a cat named Sonic who seemed unhappy with his home life. He was described as “born to be wild.” When he was given the opportunity to be free, he was beset with difficulties. As he searched for a home, he realized that the best place to be was with those who loved and cared for him. It could be called the story of the prodigal cat.
