Wild Sky Rescue

Every Christmas, free-spirited Frankie Sylva outruns her holiday loneliness by doing something good for someone else. This year, she's rescuing a truckload of neglected reindeer. At least, that was the plan—until a Montana blizzard leaves her stranded at Three River Ranch with an empty trailer and some very suspicious circumstances.

Sheriff Red LeClair doesn't know what to make of the half-frozen woman he finds in a ditched rig. She's trespassing. Her story is questionable. And there's just enough evidence to make him wonder whether his unexpected Christmas guest might actually be a criminal. With the storm closing roads and the power out, Red has little choice but to bring Frankie back to the ranch and keep an eye on her.

Neither expects the quiet holiday that follows: firelight and candles, Christmas carols, unexpected laughter—and an attraction that's getting harder to ignore. But Frankie still has reindeer to rescue, Red still has questions that need answers, and Christmas has a way of exposing the things they've both spent years avoiding.

A warm, funny Christmas novella about two lonely hearts, one Montana blizzard, and a rescue neither of them saw coming.
