Raised on a ranch on backwater planet Clayton by his widowed mother, Gwen, Mitchel is being groomed to take over the ranch from his mother some day. He also, from almost birth, has been trained in martial arts.

They begin to intensify the training he had always received from his mother in order to fit in somewhat in the New German military collage his mother had arranged for him to attend.
