I lie here on my deathbed in Saint John’s Hospital, having flashbacks of the ordeals I have experienced. Each time I close my eyes, a vision of my past horrors appears. The hospital staff is doing their best to reduce my pain. Nurse Florence appears before my eyes every few hours, holding an injection and inserting it into my IV line. With each infusion of fentanyl or morphine, I drift off and remember a painful past event.
