Ennaris used to be whole once. A beautiful land full of magic and magical creatures, a place where dreams come true. Then a siren was betrayed by her sisters. A siren ate the heart of a man she loved—and ruined the entire continent.
Every Enchanted in the world knows the story of how Syra was put under a spell made of one hundred and one layers for the last five centuries. Every Enchanted knows how much the Seven Isles suffered because of it.
And now, every Enchanted knows that Syra is awake again, and the end is inevitable.
The stars say it. The people believe it. And I do, too—except the siren is keeping Grey hostage, and I have no choice but to go after her. I have no choice but to try, even knowing that certain death awaits me.
And I do. With the help of Mama Si and Reeva Lorein, I make it all the way to the Eighth Isle. Against all odds, I find Grey, and we almost—almost—make it out alive.
