Lexi’s story takes us on an emotional ride through the end of the millennium; highlighting 90’s pop culture along the way. This book will remind us all of falling in and out of love for the very first time; and the struggles of transitioning into adulthood as well as transitioning into the technology age.

During the last six months of 1999 Lexi decides to keep a diary. She is excited about the millennium and turning 16! At first she shares every detail of her day but slowly becomes more selective about what she actually wishes to record. An anonymous narrator, who claims to be someone very close to Lexi, helps to fill in the blanks. As the world is struggling with devastation and the possibility of doomsday, Lexi battles female stereotypes, alcoholism, depression, and an eating disorder. Lexi quickly begins pushing her limits, finding she doesn’t have any. She is surrounded by her friends but often feels very alone. Lexi is never told “no,” but after a tragic accident she must make the decision to continue down the path of destruction she has created or make a lifestyle change before it is too late!
