A Lucky Escape

A US president, one-time reality TV star, a fragile cowardly man, vain and weak, watches bombs fall from space, powerless to stop them. He is a man out of his depth. A man whose greatest skill was the ability to exude self-confidence, a self-belief which far stripped any actual talent or ability.

He was a caged animal. What should I do? What should I do? He asks himself. He didn't think to ask anyone else, because he considered his own mind, a cut above all others.

How could the world come to this, better minds ask?

In the early nineteen eighties a group of world leaders sit about a table and ask the same question.
