Alberta:Savaged Woman

Singing Swallow, a young Blackfoot Indian maiden is bartered to a young European fur trader working in what is now Western Canada.
Her life is full of adventure as she follows her young partner in his work and the manner in which she is treated by him and his colleges.
It is a story of survival in a hostile world and the relationship of young Indian woman with the men of their culture and that of the Europeans who came West to trade in furs as members of the Hudson Bay Company and the NorthWest Company in the early 19th century.
