Almost True Stories

In this collection of short fiction, F. Lee Miller explores relationships between lovers, neighbors, brothers, friends, strangers, and couples in various stages of life. The characters in these stories are sometimes odd, sometimes pathetic, sometimes hateful and cruel, and sometimes wonderfully loving. But they are always someone you know, or someone you want to know. Meet an eccentric uncle, a willfull 13-year-old and his cruel step-father, a curious and insightful young boy facing the death of his father, a bully on the verge of change, even a dead Ernest Hemingway and F. Scott Fitzgerald still trying to work out their differences. These stories pose questions, but don't always provide the answers. Sometimes it's enough to just be reminded of the questions.
