On top of this national tragedy is the universal problem of bored, unsupervised youth, raised with no respect for authority and awash in fast food, rock music and violent computer games. Indridason has produced a stunning indictment of contemporary society.

Crime, hasard ou quotidien ?
L'auteur nous mène pas à pas dans des histoires banales de crimes dont l'objet demeure incertain.
Ce qui est passionnant c'est de suivre les pensées de chacun des personnages, totalement banales, mais combien pertinentes car accessibles à chacun d'entre nous dans notre quotidien.
Tout en lisant un roman policier, je vis pas à pas une enquête tout à la fois concernant une mort violente, mais aussi sur moi même, au travers des différents "caractères" qui sont exprimés avec finesse dans leur expression intérieure.
J'évolue ainsi dans mes propre projets, mes amitiés, les relations avec ma compagne, mes enfants, en suivant les méandres intérieurs des réflexions exprimées par l'auteur avec finesse sur la vie... Bravo !
