Description de l’éditeur
In its May budget, the Australian Government provided more than $600 million to make transition support a priority. This amount represents only a portion of expenditure designated to support the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) measures aimed at meeting the challenge of rising unemployment, including: a Compact with Young Australians to ensure that every young person is able to access an education or training place; a National Youth Participation Requirement to make participation in education, training or employment compulsory for all young people until they reach age 17; and, bringing forward COAG's 90% Year 12 or equivalent attainment rate target from 2020 to 2015.
