For Ena Yakubu, the former professional-dominatrix who, though glad to be finished with the profession that had made her financially comfortable; is not only in need of companionship but missing elements of the power and control she used to experience from her clients on a daily basis.

Even if her satisfaction was diminished by the knowledge she was giving those clients exactly what they were paying to receive.

No surprise then, that she sees the obviously demoralised and vulnerable white-man, calling at her home for help, as fate's answer to both her loneliness and her need to exercise personal and domestic authority of a more real and lasting kind.

A kind to which she finds her desperate and depressed visitor surprisingly receptive.

And, if he can be convinced, of a kind that will prove more long-term than the temporary experience before returning to his life he had imagined!
