Bubbemeises is Yiddish, it translates as a grandmother's story, a tall story, an old wives' tale.



Join Nick as he takes you on a journey to find the place he belongs. Amidst the steam, live klezmer music and ritual, will he find what he's looking for?



Bubble Schmeisis is full of intimate and personal true stories about Jewish identity, home and getting schmeised (washed) by old men.



This revised edition was published to coincide with Lowry x Edinburgh Season production at Sauna Theatre, at Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August 2026.
