BEYOND that Queen of the Woods one could see Cerva as the "Borgo del Castagno" or, again, "Borgo dei Murales". These are the essential characteristics of this small village of Catanzaro's presila. The walk through the narrow streets, characterized by the famous "Murales", almost gives the idea of ​​returning to the past, each painting recalls ancient crafts, traditions, uses and local customs that delight the eyes and, above all, excite. Then we arrive at the Chestnut Museum, a magical place for those who want to immerse themselves in the history and processing of this fruit that has fed many local generations and which, even today, conditions the economy of the country. Not only the historic center and Murales but the small village of Cerva binds tourism also and above all to its environmental heritage, in fact, at 1000 meters from the inhabited center, it is possible to immerse yourself in nature reaching the Oasis of Donaglie, a beautiful town surrounded by pines, secular chestnut trees, oaks, firs and beeches, a true earthly paradise. Cerva is a place that deserves to be visited, to be lived with the spirit of those who really want to touch the traditions and customs of the past, in an era that tends to forget.
