This is the true story of an Army wifes experience during the year of her husbands deployment to .  Though names have been changed, the characters in this story are real.


As the wife of a company commander, who is responsible for lives during Operation Iraqi Freedom, Annie has duties to the military families left at home.  Through narrative passages, tape recordings and written correspondence, the story of her faith and service unfolds.  She battles fear, loneliness, parenting and marriage issues, leadership concerns, exhaustion and insecurity.  Through it all, Annie discovers strongholds in times of suffering.


This story takes a personal look at deployment through the eyes of a soldier and his wife and children.  Readers will laugh and cry as they come to understand how a soldiers family serves as silent warriors during deployment.
