For the past year, Chess Matters has been counting down his departure from life on the South Side of Chicago. Always watchful of his younger siblings, ongoing gang wars and his dealings in the streets, not getting locked up or killed has been quite the feat. After the recent murder of one his close friends, and alleged betrayal of his girlfriend, his last days before hitting the road for college has him guarded and gun toting. With plans to continue his hustling ways in a new town, he and his cousin spend his last day in the city tying up loose ends. With each incident threatening to halt his move, can Chess navigate through an infamous housing project, a shootout, and avoid getting arrested by overzealous police?
