Description de l’éditeur

If you love dogs, this story will warm your heart.

Max has a dream.  Peter and Mary love him to bits, but it isn’t enough.  He longs to be as clever as the grandchildren of Peter and Mary’s visitors.  When Max gets the chance to attend school for a day, he finds it difficult to cope, both in and out of the classroom.  Just when Max feels that he is a complete failure, an opportunity arises for him to prove how intelligent and resourceful he can be.  And, he finally understands that “there are many different ways to be clever”.

This is a story of reassurance – especially for those children who find academic work challenging.

“The message is beautifully expressed and the images bring the story to life.  This will be perfect for those little ones in primary school who don’t always hit the mark and will hopefully reinforce what we are always saying to our young people …. random acts of kindness and love are what counts in our real world.”

Lesley Maher, Head of the Centre for Learning Enrichment, St Joseph’s College, Sydney, Australia
