After a 4-parsec journey, the exploratory ship New Haven reaches the ocean world of Oceana, only to be shot down by a mysterious planetary defense system. The surviving crew escapes in pods and becomes scattered across the alien planet, each group facing deadly terrain, strange predators, and signs of a lost advanced civilization. As they uncover the truth—android experiments, mutated wildlife, and ruins tied to a catastrophic Higgs-field technology—they realize Oceana isn't just dangerous… it's destabilizing reality itself. To save not only themselves but the entire universe, the crew must reunite, decipher the planet's secrets, and shut down the force that destroyed its creators—and now threatens all existence.
