Das Schloss explores the desperation of the last remnants of the Third Reich. Holed up in an ancient Schloss the inhabitants slowly go mad as the evil around them begins to feed off their bitterness, pride and hatred leading them to create a device to the gates of hell itself. The book incorporates military engagements with the advancing allied forces who are tasked with stopping the fanatics along with the determination and ruthlessness of the British Secret Service. All in all the book is fast paced and packed full of action and adventure intended to keep the reader fixed until the book's dramatic conclusion
