Diaspora of the Peavy Family of Southern Grimes County, Texas (1837–2012‪)‬

Liza (Webb) Peavy, the matriarch of the Peavy clan, was born around 1842 on a “white” Peavy plantation in Conecuh, Alabama to JoAnna Riley Jones. Liza passed away around 1915 and her remains rest in the Pineywoods Cemetery at the entrance of the Peavys’ farm they once owned.
