There is a tradition in England during the month of December of people gathering by a fire late at night, long after all the children are safely tucked up in bed, and then telling a ghost story. Usually Christmas Eve is the chosen time for such tales of the supernatural.this is such a tale to be read aloud.

However, with the rapid approach of 21st December, 2012, perhaps this year there should be a slight change of plan. And so I recommend that you should gather around your fires a little earlier this December to enjoy this particular tale. It might well be your only chance to do so if the Mayan glyphs prove to be correct; and especially so if any within your gathering has suddenly become fixated upon cleaning...
