If you are part of my generation, you can probably sing the chorus without prompting: In 1974, Carl Douglas and Vivian Hawke's recording of "Kung Fu Fighting" was a big hit--part of a burst of enthusiasm caused by the 1972-75 television series Kung Fu. Unfortunately, as a result of the brief craze for Eastern martial arts, the nunchaku became very popular in some circles. More than a few people decided that this would be the coolest weapon to use for beating up people that they did not like.
