On a suddenly stormy summer day at Vancouver International Airport, five lives suddenly collide, leaving contrasting pathways of broken lives and peculiarly realized dreams in their wake.

On this day, as the world obliviously passes through the airport’s rich corridors, adorned with Native art and statues, giving all a glimpse into both the past and future, obvious and hidden, of this historically rich area, a smarter than life cleaner is hunted. A tragically haunted taxi driver mourns the past. A desperate father loses sight. A baggage handler is left on the tarmac. A blind husband is left to pick up the pieces.

Ferguson Road tells the story of Vancouver International Airport and the five central characters whose lives intermingle under its roof, coming to a head and colliding in spectacular fashion on an unsettled and stormy bipolar day. This novel also explores and exploits the diversity that passes through the doors of YVR on a daily basis, as well as digs into the stereotypes of its characters as their stories unfold, unravel as well as completely fall apart.
