FIGHT FOR LIFE

Of all the battles fought on planet earth, the battle to conceive may be the greatest and most violent. Millions of those little soldiers are sacrificed so one or two make it in. 

 

This is a story told in two dimensions: Outer World and Inner Space. Michael and Lisa, a loving couple, have been trying for 5 years to have a child. Both are healthy, but dangerous hideous antibodies are living inside Lisa, blocking her ability to conceive. As Lisa withdraws into herself and pulls away.  Michael resolves to do anything he possibly can to save his wife and his marriage.

 

In Inner Space, deep inside Michael’s body, in a place called Repro, Captain Gameta lives.  Captain of the Corpus Canvernasum, Commander to millions of legions and Michaels Chief Sperm.  Proud, Bold and determined, for five long years watched while millions of his soldiers died while attempting the journey. Depressed and frustrated, Gameta realizes now he cannot beat these lethal antibodies called Acid Defenders.

 

Drinking with his demons at the local bar inside Repro, (Reproductive Dept) he is summoned by the General at HQ (Head Quarters).

Gameta knows he must account for the losses and failures, and concedes he will be replaced, demoted or transferred.

 

Who will command the Corpus, what will happen to Corporals Sam and Ham, his most trusted and loyal soldiers and what of his beloved Lisa.  First Lt. Lisa Barnes walked out on Gameta some time ago. No explanation, no reason, not even a note, just left.  Gameta thought to himself a “Perfect Storm”, can it get any worse, and orders three more shots of Krone, a brew so strong it’s used as a substitute rocket fuel for the Corpus.

 

While Gameta is suffering in Inner Space, Michael shares the same fate in the Outer World. If he fails, and Gameta fails, what will happen to Michael and Lisa’s marriage?

However fictional the characters in this story are, the emotional events of their lives are played out every day in the real world. A world we call reality. It affects every male and female in a way never written or understood…until now!
