Jeremy Ruscino spends his days in the jungle, finding those who wandered to far off their path. As a member of The Protetors SAR group, his life is about control. An Amur leopard, far from home, he also takes dangerous retrieval jobs of another sort to keep his beast from going rogue.

All of that changes the moment he learns an acquaintance of his has been taken.

Detective Dianna Levitt could say she's had better days. A case having been tossed on it's side, ends up with her kidnapped and out of the country. Her rescue comes in the form of a man whom she'd enjoyed for a blissful twenty-four hours but never forgot.
