Sophie was content with her life. She had a loving fiancé, a beautiful house on the coast, and a job she treasured. Then a tragedy takes it all away.

Searching for a new life, away from the grief of the old, she leaves the city and heads for the small, rural Northwestern Queensland town of Hillford.

With a new job managing the local bookstore, an unfamiliar house more suited to spirited family life, distinctive townspeople and a man who elicits feelings Sophie isn't ready for, has she changed too much at once?

Or will the town and its people weave the magic Sophie needs to leave the past behind and start again, and in the process find home?
