Fortitude

If I were to cross the ever rising tide, and embrace the memories kept inside. There would be no turning back from the raging storm that envelopes the soul, creeping in through the void to wrap around the coils that linger after the toll.

There is a moment, a place to hide, from the torrential rains that subside. Echoing through the fading sorrows that await, long after the final glimpse of the hour grows late.
