Individuals that are disabled and in particular those that are wheelchair bound, suffer from depression and isolation. Medical institutions and horticultural therapists have proved that gardening cannot only relieve depression and isolation, but can reduce the impact of a host of physical and mental maladies. This paper considers various programs available to children and adults and proposes the use of technology to not only teach an individual how to use a tabletop garden as horticultural therapy; but how to use that technology to create a global movement for living green, and coordinating veterans, children and the elderly in the mission of restoring dignity while alleviating depression and isolation.
