Germany Versus Italy

Cultural Differences

Description de l’éditeur

Germany and Italy are both European countries, fairly close to each other, and one may assume that both countries are quite similar. Nonetheless, there are many cultural differences between the two nations, some of which are addressed in my book ‘Germany Versus Italy’. The book also introduces the basic methods of analyzing cultures, based on several studies such as the ones from Geert Hofstede and relates to the AoI’s ‘Community and Service’ and ‘Environment’. As a German living in Italy, I find the topic area very interesting especially because it reflects on new experiences I gathered while living abroad. With the book, I hope to give the readers a basic understanding on intercultural communication and an inside view on the differences that I have experienced between Germany and Italy for example that Germans usually have dinner at 7pm while Italians often start at 8:30pm.
