John Moncure Wetterau has published four novels, a collection of short stories, and four volumes of poetry. The poems in "Greeting Buddha" were written in the author's early seventies. The wandering elder occurs repeatedly in the annals of culture, teaching by example, in love with life, pointing to the here and now.
