Greeting Buddha
Description de l’éditeur
"Every poem is a battle against style to find words fresh as the moment. This effort quietly moves writer and reader toward a widening capacity for the present, the essential movement of art, culture, science, and religion."
J.M.W.
John Moncure Wetterau has published four novels, a collection of short stories, and four volumes of poetry. The poems in "Greeting Buddha" were written in the author's early seventies. The wandering elder occurs repeatedly in the annals of culture, teaching by example, in love with life, pointing to the here and now. In these poems, readers can share such a journey, absorbing encouragement and compassion for their own travels.
