Guiding Children

Children do not come with manuals. Guiding Children is not meant to be a manual, instead it is designed to provide the reader with information that will inform the parenting process and should be enjoyed like a good book. For that reason, every chapter is the title of a work of literature. Each chapter includes information on the general developmental stage during a child's life. The next section involves some of the stories from Tina and George's parenting experience. The last section of each chapter includes some ideas and suggestions for parents and caregivers to consider. This book about parenting is designed to share some insights on the developmental levels of children while providing some suggestions on what caregivers can do to develop healthy relationships. The authors include stories from their child rearing journey. Guiding Children is for anyone who is involved in the life of any young person. If you are the parent or caregiver of a toddler, an adolescent or an adult, this book has something to offer you. We suggest that you start with the chapter that best matches your current situation and then move to other chapters of interest.
