Hague Trainings with Dutch Slippers ("Forum"‪)‬

Out of the four Hague cases only the "Mavrovo Workers" is processed. However, this case has difficulties in getting a normal court course. All sorts of things are constantly taking place because of which the uncertainty continues whether there will be a court ruling or a political solution. While debates on the decision which is more seen as possibly political are on, another question is opened: why the trainings for the judges, why spending the money? The Academy for training of judges and the public attorneys of the Republic of Macedonia and the Ministry of Justice, in cooperation with the financial and technical support of the Department for the rule of law in the OSCE Monitoring Mission in Skopje and the Development Program, the assistance and training of the Prosecution in the U.S. Ministry of Justice, organized a special training in the field of international humanitarian law. 26 Judges and 10 public attorneys passed the training. Around 600,000 Euros were spent. Some judges returned with superstructure knowledge, literature, and colorful Dutch slippers--souvenirs from The Hague.
