Hebei Sights

Hebei Province, “Ji”for short, is located in the north of the Yellow River, so the name comes from it. As early as five thousand years ago, the three ancestors of the Chinese, the Yellow Emperor Huang, the Yan Emperor and Chiyou crusaded and then syncretized, therefore initiated the civilization history of China. During the Spring and Autumn and the Warring States Period, Hebei was subordinated to the states of Yan and Zhao, so it has another name of “YanZhao”Beijing was chosen as the capital of three dynasties of Yuan, Ming and Qing, Hebei became the surrounding and protecting area for the capital. Hebei has complete physiognomy. It is the only province that has the landscapes of seashore, plain, lake, hill, mountainous area and plateau. The diverse landforms and comfortable climate formed the unique natural scenery of Hebei.
