High Spirits

A humorous tale of a Chicago Trade Union boss discovering his “Scotch” roots and taking them to heart.   He used his “influence” to achieve the Chieftainship of his clan in the eyes of the United Clans Association of America, and then visited his ancestral island home in the Scottish Hebrides.   There, he purchased the island, set up an illegal whisky distilling and exporting operation, met the actual young hereditary Chief of his clan and became Captain of the Clan.  Throughout this, both he and his daughter lived an exuberant life – and his daughter became romantically involved with the Chief of the clan.
