His Broken Heart

Assigned to his twelfth-grade creative writing class, Christina had taken aspiring author, Randy Hanson under her wing. No one had been more supportive when he'd written and submitted his first novel to a world-renowned publishing house. And no one had celebrated with him more when, to everyone's surprise, he'd been offered a contract.

Beautiful and sweet, and everything he'd ever dreamed of in a woman, he'd fallen hard. When he'd professed his love for her though, she hadn't been able to see past the fact that he wasn't even out of high school, while she was ready to graduate from college. So, she walked away after he professed his love – and moved across the country. He moved to the opposite coast, wanting to put as much distance between them as possible.

A decade later, he's a famous author and back home for a book signing. Christina is back too. Now, not only does she own the local paper, she's going to be at the bookstore, covering the story of a local boy who hit the bigtime.

Too bad for her that Randy doesn't plan to give her the time of day.
