Description de l’éditeur

The earliest record of juggling is found in an Ancient Egyptian tomb of an unknown prince; a panel etched in stone depicts female dancers and acrobats throwing balls into the air. Other instances of juggling have been found in Chinese, Indian, Roman, Greek and Aztec cultures as well. Juggling is performed in several varieties. This 1900 volume details the club-swinging form, thought to have been invented in India. Only two clubs are swung around the body and into the air in this form. Because of its lack of a third item, club-swinging was a popular pastime for young children of the 19th and early 20th centuries.
