It started as a simple military exercise. A NATO counter-terrorist squad takes on Babcock, Hughes, and Cross, who are holding volunteer "hostages" in a remote Alpine village. But what was supposed to be a war of fancy maneuvers, smoke bombs, and blanks turns deadly when real-life terrorists crash the games. The NATO squad is slaughtered. A busload of schoolchildren is seized. And the men of Surgical Strike—barely armed—must save themselves and panicked civilians from bullets, bombs, and worse.
Night is falling. The temperature is dropping. And for Babcock, Hughes, and Cross, the heat is on.
